An Abundance of Failure

Yes, it's true. I fail, very, very badly. I promised more updates and then disappeared for a solid month and a half. I know I know I know. Failure.

So here's the status of things, in case any of you still care enough to stick around and read my strange ramblings: I seriously just did not have the time. Generally, I can juggle school and blogging, but then I went and got myself a boyfriend, and now my laptop is barely ever on! I'm going to indulge in a super girly moment and tell you guys I am happy. Really, genuinely happy for the first time in a long time, and not even because of having someone, but finally accepting myself the same I am. Corny much, I know. For any curious people out there, he's a musician - he plays drums in a local band, and he's currently teaching himself how to play the guitar. He's also incredibly sweet and extremely understanding. We get along so well that I honestly feel like the luckiest person in the world - I've had so many great things happen to me in my life.

Unfortunately, as I mentioned early in March, my grandfather was not doing well. This also took up a lot of my time as I was travelling home and spending time with my family. He passed away Monday night after having a serious infection, and we were informed last Friday he also had extremely severe lung cancer. The truth is that though I miss him, part of me hasn't really absorbed it yet, and I also want to believe that it's better that he is gone rather than have him suffer for weeks in the hospital.

I wish I had more to post about, but I really don't have much else to say. I'm super behind on my reading, as soon as this week is over I should be able to get back on track and get some reviews up. Also have some writing to do, and get my camera repaired, AND I'm working two jobs now + taking summer classes... Oh the fun I shall have :)
